Whoo Hoo! What a show! Creative Stitches at Excel, London 4 - 6 April

Two naughty girls drinking coffee and spreading glitter everywhere!! Not really, they were great fun . . . This is going to be a longish post so settle down and get comfy -  The show at Excel was brilliant, it was a new venue for Creative Stitches and we weren't sure if it would work - Boy did it! And how . . . .  A big thank you to all of you who came to the show and made it such a success.  I delivered a workshop every morning on making brooches with my newspaper method. These were very popular again and I am regularly being asked if I will be making a video on this technique - so a question to all of you. How do you prefer to view recorded workshops - on DVD or a pay to view video on line? If you have any strong ideas about this and have the time, could you email me at info@kimthittichai.com?   One of the decorated newspaper samples before they were cut into shapes with my big Shot Pro.    The supermarket opposite the hotel I stayed in had free mu

Manchester, good friends and puddings!

A melt in the middle chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream and delicious chocolate sauce. It has been pointed out to me by a certain gentleman in the Portsmouth area that I have been rather remiss in my posting duties. It can be difficult to find the time and then wifi to post on the blog when I am travelling, particularly when I am doing a show. I hope this one makes up for my silence. I got back from the Manchester show yesterday after calling in on a few friends on the way. The show was held at Event City just opposite The Trafford Centre in Manchester. I haven't known SUCH a busy show for a long time. I am used to busy shows, but this one was bonkers! And they were such lovely people, I don't think they get many craft shows of the ICHF (International Craft and Hobby Fairs) calibre in that area of the country. My lectures were full every day with standing room only, I wasn't sure how busy they would be as I have never travelled to that area before. I need

Creative Stitches at Brighton Centre

This is me on my stand looking very studious - a nice tidy stand - NOT!!! The Creative Stitches Show at Brighton Centre was last week-end and it was VERY busy. It was great to catch up with ex students and friends I haven't seen for a while. It was also wonderful to be able to dash home every night - all the other shows  I do are at least 50 miles from Brighton.  The Brighton show is one of the smallest shows that ICHF (International Craft and Hobby Fairs) offers as The Brighton Centre is a very small venue. It is not large enough to fit all the exhibitions in that larger venues can hold so it was a taster of what is to come at Glasgow SECCC 3 - 6 March and the very exciting Fashion, Embroidery and Stitch at the NEC, Birmingham 24 -27 March. I will post more about this show next month. On of the exhibits at Brighton Centre was 'The Undoing of the Corset', a fascinating insight of what used to 'lie beneath'!!!!! This exhibit will travelling with all the ICHF shows
